Hepatitis F

There have been several candidates for a Hepatitis F virus but at present all can be thought of as hypothetical. In one case, virions were identified in a non-A, B, C, E patient stool sample and these were injected into monkeys. The result was apparently hepatitis but this could not be confirmed. Thus, Hepatitis F is no longer one of the hepatitis viruses.
