Enterobious vermicularis is a pin worm. The eggs (60 micrometers x 27 micrometers) are ovoid but asymmetrically flat on one side. After hatching, both sexes of the adult worm are found in the infected intestine. The female worm measures 8 mm x 0.5mm; the male is smaller.
